Shen Danyang, a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, pointed out that China's foreign trade operation is generally good, but the internal and external environment is changing. The uncertainties and unstable factors affecting China's foreign trade development are increasing. The import and export situation in the first quarter of next year will be quite grim.

 

The Ministry of Commerce held a regular press conference in Beijing in October 19th. Shen Danyang, a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, pointed out that uncertainties and unstable factors affecting China's foreign trade development have increased. In the fourth quarter and next year, at least in the first quarter of next year, the import and export situation will be quite grim.

 

Shen Danyang pointed out that China's foreign trade operation is generally good, but the internal and external environment are changing, affecting the development of China's foreign trade uncertainties, unstable factors are increasing.

 

"The fourth quarter and next year, at least the first quarter of next year, the import and export situation will be quite grim." He said that considering the factors of external demand cost and exchange rate, import and export will show a trend of "high before and low after".

 

Customs data showed that China's imports and exports grew by 17.1% and 20.9% year-on-year in September, down 8.0 and 3.2 percentage points from the same period last year.
